Wenn ich meine Studentinnen und Studenten frage, in welchem Umfeld sie Journalismus machen wollen, entscheidet sich die Mehrheit immer für die alte Tante Zeitung. Sie kaufen sie zwar nicht, aber gedruckt sähen sie sich doch gerne. Absurd? Vielleicht. Aber der Mythos des Zeitungsjournalisten ist einfach toll. Und wird durch Filme wie “Page One” noch befeuert, der die Arbeit der New York Times zeigt. Oder wie es in der Huffington Post formuliert wird:
The trailer for “Page One,” the hotly-anticipated-by-media-junkies-and-other-journalists documentary about the New York Times, was released on Monday, and it treats its subjects like heroes in an action movie—complete with pulse-pounding, speaker rattling music that makes it seem as if Bill Keller is outrunning a gigantic fireball at every moment of the day.
